Nature's Design

An exploration of the differences between manmade objects and nature, and how those can connect to create visually stunning pieces. This piece emphasizes "difference".

This collage has a background of a tree with bright green leaves. In front of it is a terrarium with a wooden base and class arched top. In the terrarium is a white butterfly at the bottom, made of lace and fabric. Above that is a grey beetle made of metal, and chainmail. At the very top is a combination of the butterfly and beetle, breaking free from the terrarium. The insect has rainbow undertones. It has the body of the beetle, with the butterfly's wings and antennas. The body includes some designs from the lace that are floral, and armored areas on the back.
